PHYSIOTHERAPISTS
Tom Hindhaugh
Tom is the principal and most senior physiotherapist. Tom graduated in 1994 and worked for 3 years in hospitals and private practices prior to starting work at Bayswater Physiotherapy Centre. In 2001 he took over the ownership of the practice. Tom has undergone full training in Clinical Pilates and also specialises in sporting injuries, neck pain and headaches.
Kane Burrow
Kane is originally from Wellington New Zealand. He studied at Otago University NZ and then made the move to Melbourne in 2002 where he worked at Bayswater Physiotherapy. Kane became a Co-Director of Back In Motion Bayswater in 2008. Kane has managed representative rugby union sides in NZ, and currently has an interest in sports and spinal injuries.
Greg Rankin
Greg graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2003, and initially spent 2 years working in private practice. He then moved to London and spent a further 2 years working and traveling extensively across Britain and Europe. A passionate sportsman, Greg has a keen interest in the management of sports, and in particular, running injuries.
Luke Sweet
Luke completed a two year physical eduation degree prior to studying physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University. Luke has had experience treating various musculoskeletal injuries and complaints in numerous settings including hospitals, rehabilitation centers and private practice. Luke places a big emphasis on patient education as part of his treatment to ensure better long term results.
Terry Boyd
Sports Physiotherapist Terry Boyd has spent twenty-three years working with a vast array of athletes, dancers and musicians, from the novice to international and from paediatric to veteran. He also has great experience with non-sporting conditions, including traffic accident and workplace injuries. A fellow of the Australian Sports Medicine Federation, Terry has served on both the Victorian and National Boards of that organisation. He has worked as a consultant at the Australian Institute of Sport and been appointed to the medical teams of many national and international sporting events including the Australian Deaflympic Team, the 2006 Commonwealth Games and the 2007 Netball World Championships.
Candy Chan
Candy came from Perth and completed her physiotherapy degree at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, WA. She moved to Melbourne in 2009 and was working in the aged care industry before joining Back in Motion. Candy has interests in neck and back injuries, clinical pilates and women's health. Candy is currently running a few of the calsses held at Back in Motion Bayswater for floor pilates, semiprivate classes for reformer pilates and also the Mums in Motion/Mums and Bubs classes.
Michelle Biggs
Michelle completed her physiotherapy degree at the University of Melbourne, and began working at Back in Motion soon after graduating. Both a personal and career highlight was the time she spent abroad, volunteering at a a Hospital and rehabilitation center for disabled children in Nepal. During this time she also managed to fit in a trek to Everest base camp. Michelle's clinic interests includes pilates, sporting injuries and care of the elderly. Outside of work, she enjoys playing in her social tennis team (reigning champs), snowboarding, wakeboarding and taking her naughty puppies for walks.
David (Greg) Evans
David graduated from Melbourne University in 2008 and has spent his entire career in private practice. Through his work in the clinical setting and with various state level sporting clubs, he has developed an interest in treating a variety of musculoskeletal complaints, mainly to do with lower back pain and pelvic dysfunction, as well as the hip, knee and ankle. David likes to focus on preventative steps and patient education to maximise patient results. He also utilises dry needling and Mulligan techniques in the treatment of shoulder and neck pain.
ADMINISTRATION
Tina Powell
Tina’s love of Accounts, Customer Service, Good Health and Fitness makes her position as Practice Manager the perfect choice for her. Tina has had over 20 years experience in Administration and Customer Service and most recently gained medical administrative skills through the Public Health System. She finds Back In Motion Bayswater a very rewarding, challenging place to work and is motivated each day by everyone involved.
Lizzie Walters
Lizzie started with Back In Motion in 2007. She is the bubbly one of the admin team and loves her job, especially meeting all the patients and working with friends. Lizzie has completed a medical terminology and medical administration course and puts them to good use in the clinic. She also loves socialising with friends and the movies.
Michelle Perry
Michelle started with Back in Motion in 2008. She has over 15 years experience in customer service, loves interacting with and meeting new people - she loves a chat! Michelle works part-time as she is a Mum of a 4 year old who keeps her very busy.
Paivi O'Neil
Paivi has worked in the Health Insurance Industry for over 30 years. She enjoys working with BIM and being part of a great team. She also loves the contact she has with patients. Paivi's interests are her new granddaughter, movies, books and walking. |
