STAFF

Tim Shackleford - Practice Principal

Tim was born and educated in South Australia. After completing his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Uni of SA he moved to Sydney where he met his lovely wife Liz. They remained in Sydney for 3 years before travelling to the UK and then returning to Adelaide in 2007.  Tim began working for James Schomburgk in May 2007 and accepted the position of Practice Principal in January 2008.

When Tim is not helping his patients achieve life-long health, he enjoys fishing, cooking and swing dancing. He also loves playing with his new puppies, Abbie and Bailey.

Rebekah Smith - Physiotherapist

Bek left a career in research to start a new life as a physiotherapist in 2007, and she hasn't looked back! She loves helping people learn how to move with greater ease and comfort, and finds she is always learning new things along the way as well. Bek has a special interest in mind-body exercise and uses many techniques from the areas of yoga, Pilates, tai chi and Feldenkrais with her clients. Outside of her physiotherapy work, Bek does her best to practice what she preaches by teaching group exercise classes, swimming regularly, and balancing out her life with good food and good friends.

Marcus Sia - Physiotherapist

Marcus has been working in private practice since graduating from the University of South Australia. His special interest areas are spinal injuries, shoulder injuries and headaches. Marcus believes in a holistic approach combining various treatment techniques, including acupuncture, in the process of rehabilitation. He is also a strong advocate of self-empowering his patients in their recovery. In his spare time he is a very keen rock climber and pretends to be a photographer.

Jug Vidovic - Physiotherapist

Jug Vidovic is a graduated physiotherapist from the University of South Australia with a passion for treating spinal pain and helping his patients achieve long term goals while helping them prevent reoccurrences of their pain and disability.  As well as providing hands on musculoskeletal therapy, Jug also teaches Pilates and Personal Training classes, which are all tailored to the patient so that their strength, flexibility, control of movement and quality of life recover.

Alastair Wheaton - Physiotherapist

Alastair completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia in 2009. He is interested in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, providing both hands-on treatment and individually-tailored exercises. Alastair loves to play sports, especially basketball and football, has a passion for music and loves a good laugh.

Mairead Liston - Physiotherapist

Mairead hails from Co Waterford, Ireland but has been working as a physiotherapist in Adelaide since May 2009.  She completed a degree in Physical Education and worked as a PE teacher for a short time prior to studying Physiotherapy in the UK.  Mairead has an interest in Pilates as well as hands-on musculoskeletal physiotherapy.  She loves most sports (cricket excluded!) and is working on perfecting her Aussie accent.

John Larkin - Physiotherapist

John is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist with 30 years of experience in private practice.  He has a strong belief in hands on treatment which is the central ethos of the Back in Motion Group.  When not at work he enjoys wining and dining and trying to keep fit.

Jodie Freer - Practice Manager

Jodie has been working with BIM for over 2 years now, coming from a varied background which has mainly consisted of finance and administration. In her spare time Jodie likes spending time with her partner and children and looks forward to a long and rewarding future with BIM.

Maria Piantedosi - Receptionist

Maria has been at BIM for over 1 year now and absolutely loves it. Born and bred in Adelaide Maria is married with 2 children. A self confessed fitness freak she loves to work out. In her spare time she likes to cook, go to the movies, read and catch up with family and friends.

Lindy Holmes - Receptionist

Originally from underneath Mt Ruapehu in NZ, Lindy has spent most of her adult life in Adelaide where she married and had twins. Lindy has been working at Back in Motion for four years now, and thoroughly enjoys her position as a receptionist at Campbelltown, Valley View and all the other clinics she has worked in.  Lindy has also enjoyed an exciting career in entertainment with many different Bands and also toured with the "Sensational Swing Sisters" around Australia. She currently works with her own Band "Shakey Ground" and hosts Karaoke twice a week as well.

Tami Keirl - Receptionist

Tami has been working with Back In Motion for just over a year now, starting off at the Valley View clinic and transfering over to Campbelltown. She really enjoys the rewards and challenges of being apart of the BIM crew and is looking forward to a long career within the company. In her spare time she likes catching up with friends and family & going hiking/walking as much as possible.
