STAFFTarak Akkireddi - Principal PhysiotherapistTarak has been working with Back In Motion since 2007. He has a keen interest in spines and shoulders and has done extensive post graduate training in advanced exercise rehabilitation. Tarak has also lectured for La Trobe University, the Australian Physiotherapy Association and the Institute of Health and Fitness. Tarak is also one of a select few physiotherapists who are internationally accredited and trained in the Kinesio Taping Method - Elastic therapeutic taping modality used by athletes such as Lance Armstrong and Serena Williams. Tarak's personal interest includes a passion for health and fitness and is a fully qualified personal trainer. Prav Puvimanasingam - PhysiotherapistPrav completed his Physiotherapy degree at the University of Melbourne, and has since developed a keen interest in spinal and sporting injuries, particularly involving the neck, back and lower limb. Prav has completed several Australian Physiotherapy Association post-graduate courses including Dry Needling, Pilates and Spinal Assessment/Treatment. In conjunction with physiotherapy, Prav runs three pilates classes a week, aimed at improving muscular strength and stability. He is a strong believer in equipping his clients with the skills, knowledge and understanding to help them best manage their bodies and to ensure they are able to live life to the fullest. Outside of the clinic, Prav enjoys most sports, with particular interest in Soccer and Cricket. Stephanie Lim - PhysiotherapistStephanie graduated with Honours from the University of Melbourne and has gone on to complete postgraduate training in sports physiotherapy and dry needling. As a competitor and coach at National and International level in sport aerobics for a number of years, Stephanie has particularly interest in treating sports injuries and using Pilates as a form of injury management and prevention. She has a passion for returning her clients to their highest functional level, particularly in a work or sporting capacity. Stephanie's other sporting interests include taekwondo, netball and snowboarding. Susan Robinson - PhysiotherapistSusan completed her physiotherapy degree at Latrobe University and has gone on to complete postgraduate studies of the shoulder, hip, lumbo-pelvic region and sports physiotherapy. She has a keen interest in women’s health physiotherapy, cervico-genic headaches/dizziness and vestibular rehabilitaiton. Susan plays tennis regularly and with it has developed a special interest in tennis injuries. Julie Johnson - Practice ManagerJulie is a busy mother of three who came to Belgrave 15 years ago. Julie has completed a Certificate in Computing at Swinburne TAFE & a Medical Receptionist course through Mountain District Women's Learning Centre. She previously worked as a property consultant with VicRoads as well as spending 18 months as a volunteer receptionist at Selby Community House. Katelyn Youlten - AdministrationBorn and raised in Belgrave, Katelyn is currently studying Sports Therapy at the Australian College of Sports Therapy. She is a very keen sportswoman, playing Netball & Volleyball at a high level as well as serving as a Lifesaver at Waratah SLSC in her spare time. Katelyn joined Back In Motion in 2008 as a receptionist. Tema Saward - AdministrationTema joined the Back In Motion team in April 2010. She is originally from Perth and moved to Melbourne in 2007 for her sister’s ballet career. Tema has previously studied part of a nursing degree, which she plans to continue in the near future. She has previously worked in a variety of professions, from hospitality to child care. Tema has a very friendly personality and loves to meet new people. She enjoys going to the beach, eating cake, going to the gym and doing lots of shopping! Melissa Matteo - AdministrationMelissa is currenlty studying Arts/Law at Monash University. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, boxing and debating. She also volunteers at the youth-oriented Left Right Think-Tank, encouraging young people to get involved in politics and contribute towards public policy.
