Nathan Rickard – Practice Director & Physiotherapist
Nathan started Back In Motion Aspendale Gardens in June 2007. His special interests include all things spinal, pelvic disorders, and postural strengthening.
When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his young family, and tries to fit surfing into his busy schedule whenever possible.

Matt Skehan – Practice Director & Physiotherapist
Matt joined the team at Aspendale Gardens in March of 2008 and became a Director in 2009. He has brought with him invaluable experience in sports injury management from both sides of the coin!
His special interests are - hip and shoulder injuries, lower limb biomechanics and Pilates for lower back pain and general well-being.
Matt is an accomplished Football player, who plays hard and always brings new injuries into the clinic.

Carol Bail - Practice Manager
I am back in my hometown of Melbourne, after living in ‘sunny’ Queensland for about 14years. Yes I do miss the sunshine!!
I have spent most of my working life in the office/admin area, but this is the first time in a physiotherapy environment. I am really enjoying getting to know our clients and thriving in our busy clinic since joining Back In Motion in 2009.
In my rare spare time I love spending it with my family and friends. I love music, dancing, movies, eating out and seeing the sights.

Krystal Evans – Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Krystal grew up in New York and did her physio study at the University of Hartford in Connecticut, USA. She moved to Australia in 2008 with her husband. She has a special interest in clinical Pilates, pre/postnatal conditions and pre/postnatal classes.
In her free time she enjoys watching sports and playing soccer.

Brendan Mason – Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Brendan was born and bred in Aspendale Gardens, and graduated from the University of Melbourne after topping every year of his degree.
Brendan has been involved competitively in representative football, cricket and martial arts, as well as netball, swimming and a range of other sports. He has enjoyed incorporating his knowledge of physiotherapy and sport into treating a range of sports injuries.
He thrives on the challenge of the assessment and management process to attain the greatest outcomes and performance for each and every patient.

Sonali Abeywickrema - Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Sonali is our residential female Physiotherapist with the magic hands.
She aims for best results in treating and rehabing her clients problems. Specifically in fixing neck and back problems, elbow and knee pain and sports related injuries.
She is also involved in the area of Women’s health, running our Women’s health Pilates based classes, and feel free to bring your kids to our ‘Mums and Bubs’ classes- she’ll keep an eye on them whilst making sure you get a tailored workout to suit your core and pelvic floor needs.
Outside work she enjoys hip hop dancing and Bikram Yoga, and likes to watch the Cricket.

Ash Moran - Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Ash joined the Aspendale Gardens team after graduating with honours from the University of Melbourne.
He has special interests in Cervicogenic headaches, shoulder and running injuries and utilises a variety of techniques including manual therapy, dry needling and Clinical Pilates to get patients back on track as soon as possible.
He maintains his fitness by following a Crossfit program and loves to get out for a surf before work

Daniel Beckman - Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Daniel Beckman joined the Back in Motion team in 2012, and brings with him experience in both private practice and sports physiotherapy, having worked with VFL club Werribee Tigers and A-league Club Melbourne Heart.
He enjoys the challenge of assessing and treating injuries holistically, and strives to help the patient achieve whatever physical goals they aim for. Special interests include sporting injuries and spinal conditions.
Daniel is an enthusiast for living an active lifestyle, having played soccer at a Sate 2 level and completed his first marathon last year!

Lisa Pemberton - Receptionist
Lisa was born and bred in New Zealand, but don’t hold that against her! She has recently moved to Australia with her family and is enjoying the people of Aspendale Gardens.
Her passions include her children’s sports, the outdoors, and sewing.

Kathryn Parker - Receptionist
Kathryn joined Back In Motion in 2010. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours at Monash University and will finish in 2013. She is keen to explore the many areas of physiotherapy, especially neurology.
In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys yoga, dining out and seeing live music.

Rachel Lawrence - Receptionist
Rachel is a qualified Personal Trainer who is currently studying to further her career. She will be specialising in Exercise Prescription and Rehabilitation. Her vast customer service skills and friendly and caring nature are put to great use at work.
Outside work she enjoys running, tennis and football.
