Our Team
-
Brooke Williams – Principal Physiotherapist
Brooke studied Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne where she graduated with honours. She managed to visit 30 different countries before joining the Back In Motion Health Group in 2007.
Brooke is our Health Group specialist in Mens and Women’s Health; completing her Post Graduate Certificate in Continence and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy, giving her the qualifications needed to treat all continence issues, pre and post natal conditions and pelvic pain conditions for both men, women and children. She finds this area of physiotherapy very rewarding as a speciality and particularly loves managing her patients through the pregnancy journey.
Brooke also has a special interest in Pilates, its application in the recovery and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain and runs the reformer Pilates classes.
-
James Walker – Clinical Supervisor
James was born and raised in Melbourne and has always had a keen interest in all things sport since a young age. His interest in physio grew from picking up injuries in basketball, cricket, and football.
Having dived straight into private practice after graduating in 2003, James decided to travel the world for two years gaining experience along the way working in the UK National Health Service.
Coming from another Back In Motion practice James has been with the group since 2008 and joined our team at AOC in December 2009. His philosophy of care is aimed at achieving long-term results from the episode of care. James has a keen interest in spinal pain, sports injuries, and managing injuries with Clinical Pilates.
-
Alice Baquie - Clinical Associate
Alice completed her physiotherapy degree at La Trobe University after having a year of travel overseas. Having recently joined Back in Motion, Alice is currently treating a variety of clients in the Collins St practice, particularly enjoying working with the inner CBD office worker clientele.
Having had a background in competitive long distance running, and competing nationally in gymnastics, Alice has a passion for treating sports related injuries. Running biomechanics and sports training are of particular interest.
Sports rehabilitation is a particular favourite and expanding her growing pilates expertise is also something Alice would like to explore in the future. -
Tamara Williams – Reception
Tamara joined the Back In Motion Australia On Collins team in March 2011 and very much enjoys working in our convenient city location. Completing her final year of University, studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary) Tamara can’t wait to be a teacher and have her own class next year.
In her spare time, Tamara is an active member of Rover Scouts and always seems to be jumping on a plane to visit Scouting friends in another state, or heading away on an outdoor adventure including hiking, camping, 4WD, rock climbing or skiing on the weekends. Although Rovers takes up much of her time, Tamara also enjoys exercising, dining out and spending time with her family and friends.
Tamara is the friendly face you first see when you visit us, and the helpful voice on the end of the phone. She loves being part of such a fun team here at Back In Motion AOC.
