Featuring modern minimalist furnishings, 6 consultation rooms, a spacious gym studio with all the latest equipment as well as 8 Pilates reformers for Back In Motion's popular semi-private Pilates classes. This amazing facility also of course, houses a friendly, talented, expert team of physiotherapists and support staff focusing on getting you the outcome you want and with lasting results.

Classes
Semi-Private Pilates
Reformer based Pilates session. Between 2 – 4 people per session. Tailored program provided for each individual. Duration: 40 minutes.
Muscles In Motion
Floor, ball and foam roller based session. Maximum 8 people. Duration: 40 minutes.
Mums In Motion
Antenatal class. Ball based and reformer based exercises. Maximum 8 people. Duration: 60 minutes.
Mums and Bubs
Pilates for new mums and their bubs. Duration 40-60 mins

Sheena Kirtane - Practice Director and Principal Physiotherapist
Sheena is a titled member of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia, due to her completion of a Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2010. She has gained extensive experience working in hospitals and private practices. She has always been very passionate about physiotherapy and its delivery to the community.
Her special interests involve diagnosis and management of complex spine conditions (neck and back) and shoulder injuries. She also takes interest in rehabilitation of sports injuries and assisting their return to sport. Sheena utilises dry needling and kineseo taping as adjuncts to manual therapy in the management of musculoskeletal and sports injuries.
Outside work, Sheena loves to spend time with her husband Asim and kids - Ishaan and Alysha.

Fiona Marks - Practice Director and Clinical Services Co-ordinator
Fiona graduated from Monash University and has been working for Back In Motion since 2010. Fiona has a keen interest in clinical Pilates and has done further studies to enhance her skills with Clinical Pilates. Fiona is also very passionate about treating women’s health and pregnancy-related injuries.
In her spare time, Fiona loves all sports, in particular basketball and football.

Candin Willett - Practice Manager
Candin joined the team in April 2010, wanting to study business, she found herself fascinated by Back In Motion’s philosophy. After completing her Business Administration Certificate 3 in April 2011, she is continuing to develop her career path at Back In Motion.
Candin works full-time so you will be sure to her friendly face around! If you have any queries Candin is the go-to person.
When Candin is not working, she enjoys seeing her family, friends and spending time with her dog.

Chantelle McKenzie - Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Chantelle graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand. She has recently made the move to Melbourne to join our team in Carrum Downs. Chantelle has a passion for sports rehabilitation and exercise prescription. She has an interest in basketball and plays competitively in the Big V league. She spent three years as a sports medic for a rugby union team during her degree, and loves to be involved on the sidelines with sports teams.

Karly Rowbotham - Clinical Associate
Karly joined the team at Back In Motion Carrum Downs in early 2013, where she was previously at a Practice in Hawthorn.
Karly graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
Her interests include musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation, and exploring the social and environmental influences on overall health and wellbeing.
Karly has always had a passion for Clinical Pilates, and has completed a Diploma of Professional Pilates to enhance knowledge in this area.
She also has a keen interest in Women’s Health where you will see her running the Mums In Motion classes.
In her spare time she can be found with family and friends, exploring Melbourne in search of good music and great coffee. -
Megan Williams - Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Megan studied her Physiotherapy Degree at The University of Melbourne before joining Back In Motion Epping, and recently transferring to Back in Motion Carrum Downs. Megan enjoys all aspects of physiotherapy and loves running our Mums In Motion classes. Before starting at Back In Motion, Megan worked as a sports trainer for a local football team.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time at the beach on the Mornington Peninsula where she grew up, going to the football, and spending time with her family and friends. In the future, Megan hopes to spend a few years travelling and working overseas.

Melissa Napier - Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Melissa joined the team in late 2010 and has since developed a keen interest in women’s health and runs the Mums in Motion classes at the clinic. Melissa also has particular interest in treating back injuries and using clinical Pilates as a form of injury management, rehabilitation, and prevention.
A local to the Mornington Peninsula, Melissa enjoys watching the local football and spending time with family and friends.

Nick Graham-Bowman - Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Nick graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from La Trobe University. He has a strong interest in treating musculoskeletal injuries, particularly lower limb injuries. He uses the clinical Pilates approach in their rehabilitation after pursuing further studies in this area.
Nick also has a keen interest for sports and still plays football and gets out on the golf course as often as possible. He has spent time working for a number of sporting clubs and hopes to further his skills in the area of Sports Physiotherapy, involving providing services to sporting clubs in the wider community.

Nimantha Wijewardena - Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Nim joined the team at Back In Motion Carrum Downs in late 2010 after completing a year of backpacking in Africa, China and Sri Lanka. Nim is a keen sportsman having played cricket for the Auckland (NZ) U15 cricket team and Rugby for Victorian Colts team.
He is enthusiastic about sports injury management and rehabilitation and loves treating shoulder, knee, and back injuries. Nim is continually improving his skills via courses into different parts of the body and has an emphasis on a holistic approach to get the best results for his patients.
He likes to spend his spare time with his mates playing sport and watching the All Blacks beating the Wallabies.

Ross Allan - Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist
Ross joined the team of Back In Motion Carrum Downs in early 2013. He is planning on making Melbourne his new home for good after living and working in South Africa,USA and Scotland. He graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland and has a keen interest in treating musculoskeletal injuries with a holistic approach. He is passionate about gaining a deeper understanding of clinical pilates and dry needling.
Being a keen sportsman who has participated in rowing, rugby union and golf he has an interest in sports injury prevention. When not watching rugby he likes to go to the gym or spend time with friends. -
Danella Saunders - Receptionist
Danella started at Back In Motion in July 2011. Danella has completed a certificate in business and is looking forward to furthering her knowledge.
In her spare time Danella enjoys spending time with her husband and two gorgeous girls.
After being a stay at home mum for 3 years she is really enjoying working again. She strives to make you feel welcome when visiting our clinic. -
Sarah Norton - Receptionist
Sarah is the newest member to join our administration team, Starting in early 2013. Sarah joins her younger sister Danella at the practice.
Sarah has a diverse employment background, with experience in hospitality, retail and the transport industry.
She is excited to join the Back In Motion team and looks forward to a long career in the industry.
In her spare time Sarah loves spending time with her partner James and their two children, Zac-8 and Archie-2.
Their favourite activities include Long bike rides, taking their dog Jessie for walks to the park and spending lots of time outdoors. -
Victoria Marks - Receptionist
Victoria joined our administration team in late May 2012. After having her first child three years ago, she thought it was time to get back into the work force and is already really enjoying herself. She always strives to make you feel welcome in the practice.
Growing up, Tori played a lot of basketball but now enjoys spending her days with her young family at home.
