SOS Foundation (Success or Significance)

The SOS Foundation is a not for profit charity formed by Back In Motion and is the very purpose of our group ie to be successful so we can be significant in the lives of others. Every month each Back In Motion practice donates to this charity as well as donating a day's income once a year. Semaphore has been a significant contributor in this area, helping organise fund raising activities and James Mills has also given of his time in Gove.

The purpose of the trip to Gove in Arnhem Land, was to provide support to under privileged people in any way possible. We achieved this by helping with a building project (which moved forward a month), assisting with decking, painting demolition and dumping. We also visited an indigenous community at Lake Evella, connected with children at the local school through sport, and taught them about physiotherapy and injury management. We also provided physiotherapy services to teachers and the pilots who helped connect the community with Gove. Wherever possible we provided support to people in this isolated area.

BIM Semaphore has also donated to assist the local environmental advice centre on Semaphore Rd. Even more significantly the business community of semaphore has proven itself to be very generous when it comes to supporting our charity.
