    Michael Chamberlain - Practice Director & Physiotherapist

    Mick joined the practice in 2008 while completing his Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours at Monash University, and took on the role of Practice Director in 2012. After graduating with First Class Honours, Mick has gone on to develop his passion for sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation by undertaking a number of post-graduate courses on bio-mechanics and running injuries. Mick played state representative football and baseball as a junior athlete, and remains actively involved in sports through his work with a number of local sporting clubs and organizations, including as the physiotherapist for the VFL Frankston Dolphins from 2012-2016.

    Eddie Atkin - Practice Director

    Eddie commenced as a Director in 2017, after having worked at the Hawthorn Football Club in 2010-13, including the 2013 Premiership year.  Prior to that, he was selected for the prestigious role of Post-Graduate Scholar at the Australian Institute of Sport in 2009-10.  At the AIS, he worked with athletes in Soccer, Netball, Kayaking, Skiing and numerous Olympic and Paralympic disciplines. It was during this time, that he developed a passion for working with youth and developing athletes, as well as completing his Masters in Sports Physio (Latrobe University).  These days, Eddie enjoys ocean swimming, surfing, representing the mighty Carrum Cowboys & spending time with his daughter Elsie. He looks forward to serving the Patterson Lakes community and surrounding areas, and is excited to share what he has learnt from working with some of Australia's finest athletes.

    Stephanie Wood - Practice Manager

    Stephanie joined the practice in April 2014 after a long career in admin and customer service. With a background in Hairdressing, Stephanie is always up for a chat and hopes to do her very best at making your experience at Back In Motion a great one! In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys baking up a storm, being active and playing with her pets.  In May 2016 she gave birth to her daugther Aurora. She returned to work part time in March 2017, sharing the Practice Manager role with Nick.

    Scott Bednarz - Physiotherapist, Clinical Supervisor

    Scott graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy before joining the team at Back In Motion Patterson Lakes in 2013. Scott has always enjoyed being involved in sports, and has worked in collaboration with a number of football and netball teams, assisting in the management of sporting injuries. He has a special interest and has undertaken further study in chronic pain science, particularly in relation to chronic back and neck pain. Outside of the clinic Scott enjoys playing guitar and piano, as well as composing and performing original music, and has also been known to impress our other physios with the occasional magic trick.

    Kate Cremer - Physiotherapist

    Kate graduated from Monash University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons), before joining the team in 2016 and completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science in 2011. She has a passion for sports related injuries and exercise based rehabilitation, and has a special interest in women’s health and pre- and post-natal rehabilitation. She has worked with a range of sporting teams including Eastern Ranges FC, Box Hill Hawks FC and Frankston Dolphins FC and spent time with the Australian Ballet Company. In 2017, Kate was awarded the position of team physiotherapist at Box Hill Hawks for their inaugural VFL Women’s team. Away from work Kate enjoys spending time outdoors and camping, and trying adventurous new foods and restaurants around Melbourne.

    Aniek Nagtzaam - Physiotherapist

    Aniek is our newest physio, joining the practice at the start of 2017 after graduating from the European School of Physiotherapy (Bsc) in The Netherlands in 2016. During her studies Aniek completed placements in The Netherlands, Australia and Nepal, ensuring her development in a wide range of physiotherapy skills. Aniek has a great passion for sports, especially volleyball and kitesurfing, and has worked with a wide variety of elite sporting teams including volleyball, baseball, basketball and football. She focuses on exercise based rehabilitation and puts a big emphasis on a safe return to sport. Outside the practice Aniek enjoys to go kitesurfing, playing volleyball and outdoor activities.

    Erin Farquharson - Physiotherapist

    Erin has been working for several years in the hospital sector, and in 2016 made the leap to private practice at Patterson Lakes to make use of her excellent rehabilitation skills and Clinical Pilates experience. Erin is a passionate rower, often training in the early hours and late into the evening, and being a bayside local she can be spotted out on the water regularly. Erin is passionate about overall wellbeing and physical health, pushing her patients to achieve their goals, and her Monday and Tuesday Pilates classes are incredibly popular. Erin is also a qualified Dry Needling practitioner, and is available on Monday and Tuesday nights for dry needling treatment.

    Tom Black - Sports Massage Therapist

    Tom joined the practice in July 2017. His passion for Sports Therapy developed throughout his time cycling after several crashes and injuries which saw him sidelined. In September 2012 he took a course in Swedish Massage therapy before studying a further two Sports massage qualifications. In December 2015 he left the Isle of Man to embark upon a new journey in Australia and further develop his career as a sports therapist. He is currently head trainer for Frankston YCW Football club and also a trainer at Box Hill Hawks. During his time in Australia he has also worked for JLT Condor cycling team on the Herald Sun Tour cycle race in Melbourne most recently he was part of the interleague team which played Gee-long at the MCG. Last year he spent 3 months working on a cattle station in central western Queensland looking after 4500 cows.

    Nick Rossell - Acting Practice Manager

    Nick joined Patterson Lakes in 2016 as maternity leave cover for Steph. Nick has a background in Strength and Conditioning, and has worked with the Melbourne Aces in the Australian Baseball League, as well as spending time on their playing roster. Nick brings his wealth of experience in managing strength and conditioning and rehabilitation gyms in the past, and has a passion for health and wellbeing that he hopes to pass on to our clients.

    Ina Lampert - Administration

    Ina joined the practice in April 2015. She started her career as a Medical Receptionist in Germany, before becoming a practicing Physiotherapist. Ina then moved to Australia in 2007, and has worked in Australia as a Physiotherapist, before deciding to go back to Medical Administration. Ina loves spending time with her husband, their daughter and their German Shepherd. She is an active & creative person, who enjoys travelling with her family.

    Kate Rodgers - Administration

    Kate joined our Back in Motion practice in March 2016. Kate started University in 2015, but deferred her Occupational Therapy course to travel Europe for 3 months and choose a different career path. Since returning she has been working as a waitress in Mordialloc and an Administrator at Back in Motion. Kate plans to return to University in 2017 to commence studying again. In her spare time Kate enjoys competing in equestrian events with her horses, traveling the world, socializing with friends and spending time with her family.

    Nicole Tayler - Physiotherapist

    Nicole has been working at BIM Patterson Lakes since 2009, and was formerly a Director and Principal physiotherapist at the practice. Nicole graduated from the University of Melbourne with Honours in 2007, and went on to own BIM Patterson Lakes along with her husband Matthew, prior to Mick coming on board as a Director in 2012. Nicole now uses her wealth of experience and knowledge as a supervisor and mentor to our other physios. Nicole has a passion for women's health and hopes pursue further professional development in this area in the future.
