Our Practice

Who we are

We provide physiotherapy, massage, clinical Pilates, and exercise and rehab to Balwyn and surrounding suburbs. We have one-on-one and semi-private classes and because our services are delivered by physiotherapists you can claim them on private health insurance with extras cover.

Why we're different

A "quick-fix" for your pain or injury might sound good, but over time is proven to be inconvenient, costly and ineffective in comparison to taking preventative measures. Our unique clinical approach, Results4Life, keeps you on track towards optimal lifelong physical health.

Our guarantee

We are committed to your satisfaction and delivering the very best in physiotherapy care, customer service and outcomes. If you are not 100% satisfied with your experience at Back In Motion, we will refund your money and deliver your next session free.

Our Service Offering

done Clinical Pilates

Our clinical pilates and reformer pilates classes are taught by qualified physiotherapists and tailored to your needs. This helps to ensure you achieve faster clinical results and minimise the risk of re-injury. We use a combination of pilates equipment, including reformers, trapeze tables and floor-based exercises.

Our qualified staff use the latest clinical research in the development of your personalised clinical pilates plan to help you improve flexibility, mobility, and strength.

done Massage

We know your body and can identify the causes of aches, pains, and soreness, ensuring a better result every time. A massage conducted by our physios will see a reduction in your aches and pains, whether caused by sport, injury or the stresses and strains of everyday life.

We offer a range of massage therapy services – including remedial massage, sports therapy massage and deep tissue massage – so you can benefit from qualified physiotherapy staff and their extensive knowledge of the human body and anatomy.

done Exercise and Rehab

Whether you have lower back pain, neck pain or a shoulder injury, exercise rehabilitation can help. Our exercise programs can help with increasing fitness, weight loss, injury rehabilitation, endurance training or strengthening, in a safe way that minimises risk of injury.

Kirstie is looking forward to exploring Melbourne and experiencing life here. In her spare time she enjoys reading, running, hiking and attempting to cook (it doesn’t always turn out very well).

Supplementary Qualifications, Awards and Previous Positions

  • APPI Pilates trained
  • Marcellin Old Collegians Football Club Sports Trainer

Special Interests

  • Neck pain and headaches
  • Lower back pain
  • Foot and ankle injuries

Background

Ben spent far too much of his adolescent life on the other side of the physio’s office, the result of a long history of basketball-induced injuries. This time spent as a patient piqued Ben’s interest in physio, which led to him studying the Doctor of Physiotherapy course at the University of Melbourne. Now (mostly) injury-free himself, Ben has a special interest in the management of acute sporting injuries, particularly of the foot and ankle.

Ben spends much of his spare time wedding planning with his fiancé Emma, with their big day scheduled for early 2019. He still enjoys playing basketball, and closely follows most sports, always happy to talk about the footy as long as Geelong is winning!
