On Tuesday 6 September, Back In Motion Health Group practices Australia-wide will take part in work4significance Day.

Each year, Back In Motion practices support work4significance Day to raise vital funds for SOS Health Foundation's work providing physio and healthcare services in urban and remote communities for those who can least afford them.

This year, participating practices will donate physio to those in need – treatment for treatment. Every hour physios donate will provide two hands-on physio treatments to a person experiencing disadvantage at the Foundation’s probono urban clinics and healthcare services in remote Indigenous communities. Many Back In Motion locations will also hold special events on the day to not only raise monetary donations but awareness of the great work undertaken by SOS Health.

Founder and Group Director, Jason Smith said Back In Motion Health Group was proud to support SOS Health through work4significance Day.

“work4significance Day strikes at the heart of Back In Motion’s mission to make a difference and to give back to those in our communities who are less fortunate,” Mr Smith said.

“Our physios want to help people - that’s where our passion for work4significance Day comes from.

“Getting involved allows our physios and support staff to do something really powerful and potentially life-changing for a person in need as well as support their clients towards optimal lifelong health.”

SOS Health appeal manager Lynda Cunningham encouraged the community to get behind work4significance Day by booking a physio treatment or service at their local Back In Motion on 6 September.

“People living in poverty commonly suffer greater levels of physical and mental health issues,” Ms Cunningham said.

“Those living in remote communities are further disadvantaged by having limited, irregular or no access to health services, such as physiotherapy and allied healthcare and health education.

“Getting involved in work4significance Day is a great way to do something to benefit those less fortunate whilst looking after your own health and wellbeing. We know it makes a difference because we are seeing it every day.”
