Our Practice

Free Initial Assessment

Where other Physio's charge more for the initial consult, we do the assessment component for FREE. That way, we can truly ascertain whether Physiotherapy is the best treatment option for you. It also allows you to 'sus' us out before committing to treatment.

Why we're different

The biggest predictor of an injury is a previous injury. A "quick-fix" might sound good, but over time it's proven to be inconvenient, costly and ineffective compared to taking long-term preventative measures. Our Results4Life philosophy, keeps you on track towards optimal lifelong physical health.

Our guarantee

We are committed to delivering the very best in Physiotherapy care, customer service and clinical outcomes. If you are not 100% thrilled with your experience, we will refund your money and deliver your next session free. Our central location and extended trading hours ensure same day treatment

Our Service Offering

done Physiotherapy

Quick-fixes or shortcuts are not something we strive for during your consultation. The swift management of your pain and symptoms is only the first step our team will take to help you achieve lasting results.

We believe in getting the right result the first time so you can get back to what you love without the threat of re-injury.

Our focus is not only on offering talented physiotherapists, but also delivering a great physiotherapy experience.

You will be surprised at all the physical health benefits that come with sticking to your personal treatment plan including improved flexibility, mobility and strength.

done Clinical Pilates

We offer individual and small group clinical Pilates classes taught by qualified professionals and physiotherapists. Unlike group classes at a gym, our approach to Pilates is clinically proven and specifically tailored to your needs. These tailored exercises target problem areas ensuring greater results and minimising the risk of injury re-aggravation.

You will use a combination of specialised Pilates equipment including reformers and trapeze table complimented by floor-based exercises depending on your needs. This brings about better targeting and resistance as you progress in your Pilates program.

done Shockwave Therapy

Extracorporeal radial shockwave therapy is a noninvasive treatment for patients with tendon injuries that haven’t responded well to other treatments. Predominately used on plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis and calcific tendinitis of the shoulder, people with frozen shoulder, jumper’s knee (patella tendinitis), hip bursitis (greater trochanter pain syndrome), tennis and golfer’s elbow, Dupuytren’s contracture and shin splints (medial tibial stress syndrome) have also responded well to treatment. It is also beneficial in the treatment of painful muscular trigger points. The machine works using low-frequency, acoustic shockwaves that are sent through injured tissue via a handheld device and a conductive gel. The treatment accelerates the body’s natural healing response, reduces pain through reduction of pain causing chemicals, and increases blood flow via formation of new blood vessels into the treated tissue. Three to five treatments at one-week intervals are typically recommended; most people would see benefits in a little as two to three sessions.

done Massage

When you get a massage from a physiotherapist you are benefiting from four plus years of dedicated university study on the human body.

Sporting clubs, athletes, and massage devotees see our expert physios and therapists for a reason: because we know your body and can identify the causes of aches, pains, and soreness, ensuring a better result every time.

A massage conducted by our physios will see a reduction in your aches and pains, whether caused by sport, injury or the stresses and strains of everyday life.

done Custom Orthotics

When a small problem develops in your feet, a subtle change in the way you walk can cause a chain reaction that alters your posture and movement mechanics. The symptom of poor foot mechanics can include localised foot pain, bunions, arch or heel pain, leg or knee pain, hip or back pain – and even neck pain! Custom orthotics have been shown to correct these issues, giving you improved balance, posture, and general wellbeing.

done Women’s Health

We provide effective, tailored programs to support women during all stages of their lives. Talk to us about pregnancy and post-natal care, fitness and exercise classes; pelvic floor weakness, pain and incontinence; and musculoskeletal conditions.

done Mums & Bubs

Our Mums and Bubs classes are designed to meet the needs of you and your new baby. You will enjoy a safe, rewarding and fun environment while regaining lost fitness and strength and interacting with other mothers and their babies. As these classes incorporate your bub, they provide a fantastic opportunity for them to play, interact and enhance their social skills.

done Mums In Motion

Prepare your body for the rigours of labour, improve your aerobic fitness, and reduce your recovery time in a fun, social atmosphere with other mums-to-be! Guided by your physio, this exercise class also includes education on back care, posture, and relaxation specific to pregnancy.

done Men’s Health

Men have pelvic floors and bladders too! Whilst they don’t carry and give birth to babies, men can suffer a range of issues from pelvic floor deficiency following prostate surgery and also lower back pain. Our physios can address these issues with appropriate assessment and exercise prescription.

done Exercise and Rehab

Whether you’re looking to increase your fitness or get back into exercise after time off or injury, an exercise and rehabilitation session will get you off to a good start.

Our physiotherapists can design programs to cater to your every need including weight loss, injury rehabilitation, fitness and endurance training as well as strengthening and toning.

Your physio knows your body and has the scientific and clinical knowledge to ensure your workout is both safe and caters to your abilities and previous injury history.

done Dry needling

Treating musculoskeletal injuries with acupuncture needles can be an effective form of treatment helping to reduce muscle tension, decrease pain levels, and trigger a healing response in injured tissues when the body has ceased healing. As opposed to acupuncture, dry needling works directly on the injured body part, not meridian or energy flows.

done Vibration Therapy

We offer side-alternating, high-frequency vibration therapy technology. You can experience results not only as treatment for an existing concern but as a preventative measure for a diverse range of health issues including back pain, falls prevention, core strength, and elite performance.

done Aquatic Physiotherapy

Our hydrotherapy classes are ideal if you are going through injury rehabilitation or if you have long-term injuries. Our physios will guide you through gentle group and individually-tailored water-based exercises in the water with buoyancy devices as needed.

done Aged Care Physiotherapy

We provide a range of physiotherapy services for seniors and residencies in the community. We support aged care facilities, supported residential services, and retirement villages. We can also visit clients in the privacy of their own home.

done Dietetics

Our Dietitian can assist you with all your diet-related needs, including:

  • Weight loss
  • Food intolerances including low FODMAP diets
  • Nutrition for mothers including pre-natal, post-natal and even pre-conception
  • General sports nutrition for sports people, triathletes and runners
  • Diabetes management
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • General healthy eating

Rebecca graduated with First class Honours from her double degree in Physiotherapy and Exercise Science from Griffith University on the Gold Coast, where she was born and bred.  It was Rebecca’s involvement and passion for her sport which drew her into the profession originally and this empowered her to pass on this knowledge and autonomy to her patients.  Rebecca started her career in community rehabilitation physiotherapy working with accidents, trauma, strokes and other severe, often long-term injuries.  Following this she shifted into medical, occupation and community centre settings across the Gold Coast, where she worked alongside medical and allied health professionals delivering holistic care to the community.  With five years’ experience in different roles in the community Rebecca has a holistic career background, which she brings into her role with us at Back in Motion.

When Rebecca isn’t practicing as a physiotherapist here at Back in Motion she is usually training herself or providing physiotherapy management to her two Gridiron football clubs, The Gold Coast Stingrays and the Brisbane Blaze.  Rebecca has also worked along-side several Australian representative athletes, including Janine Watson Taekwondo champion, whom also suffers from the neurological condition Multiple Sclerosis.

Outside of work hours Rebecca is out training herself in the gym and on the gridiron field. Rebecca also loves to make the most of the Gold Coast lifestyle with many outdoor hobbies and activities.
