How to make the most out of your first appointment

Published: August 14, 2019

We are excited to welcome you to our clinic and we look forward to helping you achieve your health goals. Here are a few quick tips on how to make the most of your first appointment and what to expect

How to find us

We are located at 633a Lower North East Road, Campbelltown SA 5074, at the intersection of Lower North East and Gorge Roads, between Spartan Electrical and Choices Carpets. There is parking right out the front and no stairs to worry about.

Arrive 10 minutes early

We have some paperwork for you to fill out which includes basic contact details, a health screening and our terms and conditions. This will take approximately 10 minutes to fill out so we ask that you arrive before your appointment time. This will enable our physiotherapists to start your appointment on time, which helps to make sure our waiting times are kept as short as possible for all of our clients.

Fill out your details online

If you'd like to get ahead of the game or if you're running short on time, you can fill out your personal details before your appointment.  Simply click on this link to complete your details online. www.backinmotion.com.au/campbelltown/new-client

Bring copies of any previous investigations

If you have had any previous investigations such as xrays, MRI, CT scans or ultrasounds please bring a copy of these to your appointment. If you do not have a physical copy please call our rooms on 8365 7966 with details of your investigation and we may be able to chase up the results before your appointment.

Wear appropriate clothing

Depending on the nature of your complaint you may need to expose the area of your body for our physiotherapist to make the most accurate assessment. For upper body complaints please wear a singlet or tank top. For lower limb injuries loose fitting trousers or shorts are most appropriate. For sporting injuries, our physiotherapists may need to assess your ability to perform tasks such as jumping, running and hopping. Please wear appropriate shoes if this is the case.

Bring your private health insurance card and/or any government concession cards

For your convenience we offer HICAPS which can immediately claim from your private health insurance.

If you need to cancel please give at least 6 hours notice via phone on 8365 7966. Late cancellations may involve a charge.*

Your first appointment

Your physiotherapist will run through a Free Initial Assessment* consisting of a detailed history and a physical examination. They will then discuss their findings with you and provide recommendations of treatment. This may include referral for further investigations or to a medical professional. Time is set aside to proceed with treatment if you wish at the charge of a standard consultation to help you achieve your goals as quickly as possible.
