At Back In Motion Bribie Island we now offer Podiatry as a service. Meet our new podiatrist Evy.
Born in Belgium and growing up around the EU capital Brussels allowed Evy to become fluent in French, Flemish (Dutch) and English.
She completed her first bachelor’s degree in “Fine Arts” at The School of Arts, Gent Belgium. Wanting to combine her creativity with a more health related role and having a big interest in anatomy and sports led Evy to choose a career in Podiatry, with a special interest in Muscular Skeletal (MSK) and injury rehabiilitation medicine.
She completed her BSc in Podiatry at the University of Artevelde in Gent, Belgium. During her studies she was exposed to the latest technologies in gait analysis. After graduating Evy relocate to Sheffield in the UK, where after completing a conversion course she worked in Private practice and the National Health Service (NHS). Whilst working as a podiatrist in the UK for 4 years, She also completed her MSc in Theory of Podiatric Surgery at The University of Huddersfield, UK, where Evy graduated with Distinction and published her first article in “Podiatry Now” in March 2020.
Having worked in a multi-disciplinary team at my latest position as a MSK Podiatrist and having experienced the benefits of client centered approach to treatments by working in such a setup, along with Physiotherapist’s and Exercises Physiologists is what peaked her interest to work at Back in Motion, Australia.
She is a self-motivated person who is eager to learn/ stay up to date with the latest technologies
Outside of the workplace Evy is part of a Thai boxing club, enjoys running and hikes.
