Thank you for your ongoing support and patience as we go into Stage 4 restrictions. We love being part of the Northcote community and our thoughts go out to everyone in the Northcote and broader Melbourne community. We are also deeply grateful to everyone who has continued to make huge sacrifices to focus on the goal of this restriction, which is to reduce the movement of people and thus the spread of the virus.
In physio world there has been much discussion around patients needing a GP referral in order to attend face-to-face allied health services during the Stage 4 lockdown. We have had further clarification from the Department of Health this morning and you will not be required to have a doctor referral to attend physiotherapy services under the new stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne.
We continue to remain open to provide physiotherapy and exercise and rehab services if you need us over the next 6 weeks. For those who do require our services we can provide a letter of attendance via email which can serve as evidence for a travel reason in addition to having your booking confirmation on your phone.
Clinical exercise and one on one rehabilitation appointments will continue to run. Unfortunately the studio space remains closed to all studio memberships. Please get in touch if you require our help - we can accommodate normal face to face treatment sessions or provide telehealth services.
We are continuing to follow enhanced measures within the practice and we have updated them in accordance with the latest recommendations from the Department of Health:
- An increase in our venue cleaning procedures
- Our team continue to follow a strict hygiene and disinfection procedure in consult rooms between sessions.
- Ongoing emphasis on hand sanitising
- Reconfiguration of our waiting room and treatment rooms to allow extra space between all users
- Temperature testing on arrival
- Our team will be wearing masks and face covering in accordance with latest recommendations
- All clients are required to wear a mask while inside the practice
To help stop the spread of COVID-19 please let us know if you have had a fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath.
