Published: April 28, 2024

Dear Valued Clients,

Thank you for choosing us to take care of your health & road to recovery. We are here to help you achieve optimal lifelong physical health. This philosophy of care is encapsulated in our clinical approach, Results4Life®; helping you achieve lasting results.

Please read the process involved for Chronic Disease Management Plan/EPC to continue your booking with us as we are no longer Bulk billing practice.

WHAT DO I GET FROM MY VISIT?

In your Initial consultation Back In Motion offers a thorough investigation into your chronic condition, how it’s affecting everyday function, and what Physio/Osteo can achieve for you. Based on your goals, we will establish a clear timeline of recovery and work through many treatment strategies such as hands-on treatment and physical exercises.

We also introduce ourselves and prepare letters for your GP and other medical/health specialists involved in your Care Team. Your Back In Motion practitioner will outline your physiotherapy/Osteopathy management plan with GP to ensure your overall chronic health recovery is aligned and collaborative.

MEDICARE CLAIMS AT BACK IN MOTION:

Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) System Your GP may have told you, You can have 5 visits with one of our Allied Health Practitioners (Physiotherapist , Osteopath or Podiatrist) covered by Medicare.

This means that you may be entitled to claim a portion of your fee from Medicare if you have been referred to see the Practitioners by your GP, and a Team Care Arrangement or Chronic Disease Management plan has been provided to you. Using the Medicare claim system, you are entitled to a maximum of 5 visits per calendar year across Allied Health services such as Physio, Osteo & Podiatry. Medicare will pay $58.30 (Nov 2023) towards the fee for your consultation.

The Medicare fee schedule will be as follows:

Senior practitioner fee: $89               Medicare will provide a rebate of $58.30

Junior practitioner fee: $69                Medicare will provide a rebate of $58.30

This tiered system endeavours to keep our appointments as accessible as possible.

HOW DO I RECEIVE REBATE?

Processing Payments for Initial, Long appointments, Senior Practitioner, Women Health, Pelvic Floor & Podiatry. Claiming Medicare for clinical services at Back In Motion is done through subsidised visits.

At the end of your consultation, you will be asked to pay the full consultation fee by credit card, cash or Eftpos. Your Medicare rebate will be processed during payment and will be back in your account within 48 hours.

WHY DO I STILL PAY A GAP FEE?

Due to rising costs of administration fees, supplies, insurances, utilities, coupled with the fact that Government's Medicare rebate has failed to keep up with inflation, it is financially no longer possible to continue to provide high quality allied health services whilst offering bulk billing.

Our priority is to give you exceptional outcomes. Charging a full Medicare fee allows us the time to offer you a thorough assessment, management plan and follow up with your treatment outside of formal appointments with the other medical/allied health professionals within your Care Team.

Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions or concerns prior to your treatment here please feel free to talk with our friendly reception team who will be happy to explain further.

We are looking forward to providing you with the highest level of care and detailed reporting to your GP so your experience here will be beneficial and rewarding.

Kind Regards,

Back In Motion Management
