Back In Motion Health Group Celebrates 15 Years
September 2014 marks Back In Motion Health Group's 15th Birthday!
Our Group now boasts over 75 locations across Australia which includes 38 full-service practices and numerous Connect Sites located in local medical facilities. We have exciting expansion plans in the pipeline with three new practices set to open in Victoria, one in Tasmania and one in Perth in the coming months.
From day one it has been Physiotherapist, Founder and now Group Director Jason Smith’s mission to help all Australians achieve optimal lifelong physical health. Our physios now do this by offering a holistic service and unique clinical approach. Clients work in partnerships with their physios through a Results4Life™ focussing on sustainable outcomes rather than giving quick-fixes which are not ideal in the long term.
In their mid-20’s Jason and his wife Paulina opened the first Back In Motion location at their home in suburban Victoria. Jason practiced his clinical philosophy out of a small garage at their home in Scoresby working long hours to keep up with an ever-growing client base. He soon outgrew the garage facility once word caught on in the community that his techniques were focussed on prevention and achieving optimal health as opposed to immediate pain relief.

In April 2000 more suitable location was sourced in a local medical facility and two years following this, a purpose built location, Back In Motion Wantirna South, was opened. Seeing the success, Jason explored franchising as a model to grow and expand his offering to more Victorians. A practice in Coburg was the first franchise and still trades today as Back In Motion Brunswick in a new, larger premises. .

Six years later a major growth phase commenced where the Health Group expanded outside of Victoria and continues to today. Back In Motion now has a footprint across Victoria as well as South Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland and will shortly grow to Western Australia.
The Back In Motion National Support Office team celebrated this milestone earlier this month and practices across the network are set to join too!
