Professional Development at Back In Motion Health Group

Countdown to Back In Motion's National Symposium Staff Professional Event + Directors' Summit

Jason Smith, Back In Motion Group Director conservatively estimates that the Group provides over 46,800 hours of structured professional development every year and more than another 50,000 hours of informal mentoring. This is exclusive to those who are part of Back In Motion Health Group, something unseen in the world of physiotherapy private practice.

Group Tour

In the first half of this year Jason undertook a Group Tour personally visiting over 40 locations across five states, speaking with almost 50 directors and over 400 staff. One clear piece of feedback from the network was that despite the above, our staff want more training and development opportunities.

National Staff Symposium

In response to this feedback, the National Symposium was born. Final preparation is occurring; this Sunday 26 October, over 200 staff from across Australia will descend on Melbourne for the first annual Back In Motion National Symposium.

Coordinated by the Back In Motion National Support Office (NSO), the full day will be split into two streams – a clinical stream and a professional non-clinical stream both of which have well known and respected presenters speaking.

Directors' Summit

Following on from the Directors’ Conference held in March 2014, all Back In Motion directors will gather on Monday 27 October for the Directors’ Summit. The Summit, carrying on from the Directors’ Conference theme ‘Synergy’ will see a range of professional content delivered. The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) National President, Marcus Dripps will present the opening address followed by workshops, discussions and panels around the APA’s InPractice 2025 Report.

Sponsors

Back In Motion would like to thank our generous sponsors for both events:
