Marcus Pain – Practice Director
Marcus was born and raised in New Zealand and graduated from the Auckland University of Technology in 1999 and moved to Melbourne in 2001 where he joined Back In Motion as one of their first employees. In 2004 he opened the Coburg clinic and then Epping in Jan 2007 before relocating Coburg to Brunswick in early 2008.
His areas of particular interest are clinical Pilates, chronic and persistent back and spinal injuries and sporting injuries. Some of his additional areas of study in the physiotherapy field include DMA Clinical Pilates Level 1, 2 and 3, polestar Pilates rehabilitation series, the shoulder and upper quadrant, triathlete courses and rehab of the sporting pelvis and lower limb.
Marcus has been a keen sportsman, taking part in sailing to a high level (near Olympic level), running – including 4 half marathons in 09/10 and cycling and is an avid fan of the WORLD CHAMPION All Blacks and more recently St Kilda Saints. He loves spending time with his wife Melissa, their children Cleo and Knox, and being part of the Brunswick community.
Recently he has become a TAC and Worksafe Authorised Occupational Physiotherapist so you can be sure he will get you back to work ASAP.

Melissa Pain – Practice Manager
Melissa was born and grew up in the East Gippsland region near Lakes Entrance. She began working at Back in Motion Brunswick in mid 2004 as the Practice Manager and is now involved in running the Brunswick and Epping clinics alongside her husband Marcus.
When Melissa is not at Brunswick she is at home child wrangling her 2 children Cleo (aged 5) & Knox (aged 2). Outside of work and being a mum, Melissa’s other passion is exercise, currently an enthusiastic runner, also enjoys swimming, Pilates and yoga.

Aemilia Elliott - Clinical Supervisor
Aemilia, a native Melbournian, graduated from physiotherapy at La Trobe University. In 2010 Aemilia completed her Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at Melbourne University. Aemilia has worked in public and private health settings with a passion for rehabilitation and improved functioning following injury. However, she believes that prevention is the best option to avoid future issues.
Aemilia has worked with local football teams, waterpolo players, triathletes, and gymnasts to name but a few. Aemilia has also spent time as a locum physiotherapist with the Australian Institute of Sport working with netball, basketball, and soccer. Outside of work, Aemilia runs, plays hockey, enjoys cooking and gardening, but especially running with “Lenny and Charlie”- the dogs.

Julianne Woodcock- Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Julianne hails from the lovely emerald isle of Ireland and flies the flag for the northern hemisphere at Back In Motion Brunswick. She studied physiotherapy in University College Dublin where she received a sports scholarship to play hurling (Irish sport!)
Julianne graduated in 2009 and from there she moved to New Zealand to work and enjoy some snowboarding / bungy jumping / kayaking / trekking etc! In search of new adventure she moved to Melbourne and is loving working at Back In Motion. She has a particular interest in sports physiotherapy as well as clinical Pilates and is currently undertaking the APPI Pilates courses.
Outside work she enjoys music, running, cycling and most outdoor activates.

Cade Nguyen- Clinical Associate- Physiotherapist
Cade was born and raised in Melbourne. He initially studied Radiography at Monash University for two years, only to realize that he wanted to pursue a career in Physiotherapy. Since completing his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney in 2007, Cade has returned home to work in private practices around Melbourne. He has a keen interest in spinal related injuries as well as hand therapy. With years of experience in Clinical pilates, hydrotherapy, and geriatric rehabilitation, Cade finds that specific exercise is a great way to complement treatment and ensure injury prevention.
Cade has spent time as the physiotherapist for the Australian Softball Association, has worked closely with Brazilian Jujitsu clubs and holds a black belt in Karate. Cade loves thrilling sports such as surfing, snowboarding and racing his Mini Cooper at Phillip Island.

Robyn Vermeulen- Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Robyn was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada and moved to NZ after graduating from Simon Fraser University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. After working in exercise rehabilitation for 2 years, she returned to school to study Physiotherapy and graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2011. In February 2012, Robyn moved to Melbourne to begin her career with Back In Motion. She continues her studies in Rehabilitation Science and is looking forward to earning her Masters degree in 2013.
Robyn is experienced in musculoskeletal rehabilitation for chronic low back pain. She particularly enjoys helping patients prepare for and rehabilitate after spinal surgery. Her other clinical interests include core stability training, treating lower limb injuries and using musculoskeletal balance assessment for injury prevention and rehabilitation. Robyn loves to run, snowboard and play guitar. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband discovering the best food and music that Melbourne has to offer.

Lachy Bromley- Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Lachlan has grown up and done his schooling in Melbourne. After taking a gap year after high school to travel Europe he studied his Physiotherapy degree at La Trobe University. Over the past few years he has worked with both male and female Football, Soccer and Hockey teams and plans to continue this association with the sporting field.
Lachy uses up-to-date evidence, biomechanical assessment and the input of his client to treat and rehabilitate effectively. He was first exposed Clinical Pilates and Dry Needling as a patient many years back and this is an ongoing area of interest for him.
When not working, Lachy enjoys playing hockey competitively and everything from golf, tennis, netball and basketball for fun. He also doesn’t mind when the Cats get up on the weekend!

Evie Maguire- Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
After growing up by the beach in Barwon Heads, Evie moved to the city to study Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. Evie was interested in Physiotherapy from a young age, with herself and her family being involved in a variety of sports.
Physiotherapy was an obvious choice of profession for Evie as ,in addition to sporting interest, she loves to chat to people and help them reach their goals, be that getting through a day at work pain free or returning to high level sport. Evie has had experience in working with both football and netball teams, she also volunteered in a Cambodian children’s center in 2010.
Out of work, Evie enjoys baking, running, the beach, riding her bike and seeing friends.

Rohan Singleton - Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Originally from Canberra, Rohan graduated from Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. He is particularly passionate about the use of Pilates in the clinical setting and is a fully qualified mat work instructor through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).
Rohan currently works with local football and soccer clubs at both a senior and junior level. He also has past experience working with football, soccer, and gridiron teams.
Away from physiotherapy, he enjoys spending time on the golf course, running and getting behind the mighty Roo’s!

Bradley Gin – Clinical Associate (Physiotherapist)
Bradley Gin was born and raised in the small country town of Kerang in northern Victoria.
With a very keen interest in sport Brad quickly found himself involved in any and every sport available to him from a young age including swimming, football, tennis, basketball, table tennis, cricket and golf. This interest in sport and the injuries he sustained from playing sport lead to Brad’s interest in physiotherapy.
Brad is now interested in specific aspects of physiotherapy such as sports injuries, spinal injuries, Pilates and dry needling.

Lorelei Camboni – Receptionist
Lorelei joined the team when she was 15 years old back in our original Coburg location, started as an admin assistant and moved up to the reception team! After high school, Lorelei completed her first year in Fashion Design and Technology but took a break to go travelling around Europe where she met extended family in Italy and Holland.
Having changed her mind about careers, Lorelei now enjoys her spare time with DJ gigs and being a feature rap artist. She is currently training at SYN FM in radio broadcasting and will hopefully have her own spot on air soon.
Lorelei has studied classical ballet since she was 3 years old and still enjoys dancing to this day whether it be classes or just out with friends. She very much enjoys talking, dancing, dressing up, eating and loves animals! She loves being part of such a lively group here at Back In Motion Brunswick!

Emma started working at BIM Brunswick in February 2011 after travelling over the summer. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Psychological Science at LaTrobe University and hopes to become a Clinical Psychologist in the future. In her spare time Emma enjoys playing basketball and netball, reading, cooking and is looking forward to becoming an Aunty
