Don't take your health for granted

Jason explains that our health can be likened to a downward-moving escalator. If you are not making good decisions every day, preventing health issues, then you are slowly regressing. For a more fulfilling life, be smart about the proactive preventative measures you take.

Back In Motion partners with Regal Sleep Solutions to present this health and wellness series linking to Back In Motion found and physio, Jason T Smith's best-selling book, Get Yourself Back In Motion.

Transcript: Prevention is Better than a Cure

Prevention is better than cure. That's an old axiom that's been floating around. I'm sure you've heard it before, but how many of us actually do something about that? 43% of the Australian population believe that preventative actions are going to serve their better health interests, and yet they really are slow to respond on all of the daily decisions they need to make to optimise their health. I often explain to my patients, health is kind of like riding a downward-moving escalator. If you are not making good decisions every day, preventing problems in your health, then you are slowly regressing. You need to be actively making good choices every day and outpace the deterioration your body's naturally gonna have as they age. Prevention is better than cure.
